Statement from the VI Congress of the Paraguayan Communist Youth (JCP) in Solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance

Los palestinos se encuentran en una situación crítica en lo que llevamos de siglo. Con el recrudecimiento del genocidio en Gaza, el aumento de la violencia del ejército de ocupación en Cisjordania y la Autoridad Palestina mostrando al máximo sus limitaciones. Denunciar al régimen de ocupación sionista y sus métodos de dominación y solidarizarse con la resistencia Palestina es tarea de toda organización y persona que sea verdaderamente democrática y humanitaria. Más aún para los comunistas. Por ello nuestra completa solidaridad con nuestros camaradas en el territorio palestino y con todo el pueblo palestino.

Los bombardeos, el plan de expulsión de los palestinos en Gaza y, sobre todo, el proceso histórico desde mediados del siglo veinte nos muestran que el sionismo es la causa y la justificación del gobierno y la sociedad israelí para sus planes coloniales. 

Cuando decimos Palestina libre (desde el rio hasta el mar) nos referimos a una Palestina libre del dominio israelí, libre del sionismo, libre de la ocupación y libre de ejercer su derecho de autodeterminación; nos referimos a una Palestina sin Israel como Estado-nación.

¡Viva la resistencia Palestina! ¡Viva Palestina Libre!

Palestinians find themselves in a critical situation in what we have experienced of this century so far. The genocide in Gaza has intensified, violence by the occupation army has risen in the West Bank, and the Palestinian Authority has laid bare its deepest limitations. To expose the Zionist occupation regime and its methods of domination—as well as standing in solidarity with the Palestinian resistance—is the duty of every truly democratic and humanitarian organization and individual. Even more so for us communists. Therefore, our full solidarity goes to our comrades in the Palestinian territory and to the entire Palestinian people.

The bombings, the ongoing plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza, and, above all, the historical process that has been developing since the mid-twentieth century show us that Zionism is both the cause and the justification used by the Israeli government and its society for their colonial project.

When we say Free Palestine (from the river to the sea), we are referring to a Palestine free from Israeli domination, free from Zionism, free from occupation, and free to exercise its right to self determination. We envision a Palestine without Israel as a nation-state.

Long live the Palestinian resistance! Long live a Free Palestine!
